Abstract:
A newly-minted Ph.D.'s course on the economics of international trade becomes embroiled in student controversy when an aggressive male student appears to be challenging the inexperienced female professor--who, in turn, is strongly urged by four women students, in private, to rein in the "offender." "Melinda Harris" must choose between a stern approach to the bright but aggressive student and the approach she had believed would work; hoping his "show-off" behavior would subside over the course of the semester.
