Abstract:
This case is a sequel to both Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. It follows the two leaders from 1965 until their assassinations in 1968 and 1965, respectively, briefly recounting their final accomplishments and the circumstances leading up to their deaths. The case is part of a series illustrating the method of "placing people" in their historical and personal contexts.

Learning Objective:
This case is meant to provide readers with an understanding of the last year of Martin Luther King's life and the last month of Malcolm X's life. It works well with HKS cases 365 and 366.
