Abstract:
On the eve of the release of its bombshell report in early 1976, the head of the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence quietly informs Harvard University officials that some of the school's faculty members have had secret relationships with the Central Intelligence Agency. The news prompts formation of a committee that must develop rules governing the conduct of faculty members in such relationships. The committee must ponder the appropriate intervention, if any, in the relationship between citizen/faculty members and their government.
