Abstract:
These three cases, sold together as one set, can stand alone or be used in a single class discussion. They raise different issues regarding diversity in the workplace. They are written about the experience of women but can elicit conversation about race relations as well.

Learning Objective:
"The Case of the Friendly Behavior" asks what constitutes offensive behavior and how to know it when you see it. "The Case of the Unfriendly Management Trainee" challenges participants to question their own responsibility in situations where someone is being offended. "The Case of the Ombudsperson's Actions" asks participants to weigh six compelling, though contradictory, values embedded in handling complaints about sexual harassment. These are appropriate for both executive programs and pre-career courses.
